17 members of the club, together with 11 aircraft, put in an appearance at the weeks expedition to Shenington in the Cotswolds held on the 2nd week of August.
As ever, our hosts at Shenington were relaxed and welcoming which contributed to an enjoyable week. The soaring weather could have been better but members took to the air on every day. Retrieve crews were active as flights were attempted despite conditions not favouring cross-country tasks.
We will be celebrating 60 years of the Kent Gliding Club on Saturday 23rd July at the Club. We would like to invite as many present and past members to come along to this special anniversary to enjoy the Pig Roast and live music. We are inviting guests to fly in from local flying clubs to help celebrate the day.
Following the success of previous years, a club expedition will again be heading to Shenington Gliding Club in the Cotswolds.
The date is from 6th to 14th August 2016.
Let Colin Beer know if you are interested in participatng.
