The ‘Go for Solo‘ package takes you from your first lesson to the stage when you are able to fly one of our gliders by yourself, for the fixed price of £1,700.
Included in the price of this course are:
- Full Flying Membership of Kent Gliding Club for one year
- Up to 8 aero tow and 40 winch launches – plus all the soaring time
- A pilot’s Log Book and a Student’s Progress Book
- All associated flying and ground instruction
Pilots learning through the Go for Solo programme participate in club days like any other member and are expected also to participate in the Weekend Duty Rota like all members. This involves being part of the duty crew for a Saturday or Sunday about every 6 weeks.
The rate at which people learn varies; this package has been tailored to suit someone of average ability.
