Kent Gliding Centre has a fleet of modern two seat and single seat glass fibre gliders, two winch launch vehicles and two tugs to provide aerotow launching. Our range of aircraft are perfect for guiding aspiring pilots from inital experience flights through to their memorable first solos and on to cross country soaring.
Two Seater Gliders

Our primary two seater training aircraft, the ASK21 is used at gliding clubs all over the world. First solo flights are usually taken in these aircraft.

The SZD-50-3 Puchacz is a popular training and aerobatic glider and at Kent Gliding Centre is used mainly for advanced and cross country training.

The SZD-51-1 Junior single seat glider is available to members to fly once they have completed their initial solo flying experience in the ASK21.

A very popular aircraft for towing, used by hundreds of European gliding clubs.

Originally used for crop dusting, its high power-to-weight ratio makes it great for towing gliders.

Motorgliders
There are a number of privately owned motor gliders based at the Gliding Centre including two of the popular Grob G109. Often the owner-pilots provide experience flights and cross country training for club members to practice field landing and carry out navigation training.
